BA Festival of Science, Sept 2005

Virtual Graffiti display at the Festival of Science Virtual Graffiti's first public showing took place at the BA Festival of Science at Trinity College Dublin, 5-9 Sept 2005.

During the course of the week, visitors to the festival used their own mobile phones, PDAs and laptop computers to send text, images, drawings and video clips to the public space, which was projected onto a wall inside the Arts building.

As a panel convened to discuss the activities at the Festival of Science, Virtual Graffiti was installed with the public space behind the panel's five members, while the audience was encouraged to ask questions and comment on the panel's discussions using their mobile phones.

Virtual Graffiti represented Trinity College Dublin at the 2005 International Idea-to-Product competition at the University of Texas in Austin, TX, USA in November 2005.

Virtual Graffiti display at the Temple Bar Music Centre Virtual Graffiti has been successfully deployed at various gigs at the Temple Bar Music Centre in Dublin, with the public space behind the band on stage; enabling a new kind of social interaction between the concert-goers.
